This easy mandala is arranged like a simple flower medallion. A small round center is surrounded by a neat ring of short petals, then by broad leaf-shaped petals set inside rounded outer loops. The large shapes touch in a calm, regular rhythm and leave plenty of white space around the complete circle. Start with the small middle petals in a warm color, then choose one cool shade for the broad leaves. The thin inner lines inside those leaves can be a lighter version of the same color. For the outer loops, alternate two gentle shades so the flower remains easy to read from a distance. A darker outline-colored band inside each loop can give the border a little depth without making it busy.
