01About
About this page
Perched on top of a chunky tree stump, a round-faced owl holds a large open book in front of its chest and peers over the top of the pages. The book has a plain face with a clear center spine, and the owl's wings curl around each side to hold it. The owl's eyes are huge and shiny, the beak is small and pointed, and feathery ear tufts rise on both sides of the head. The chest is covered in small scallop-shaped feathers, and sharp little claws grip the stump's top. The stump shows bark lines and growth rings on its flat top. On the left and right of the base, two spotted mushrooms and a few tufts of grass fill the bottom corners. This medium page has plenty of feather texture, and the blank book pages are an open space for kids to invent a story cover.
