About this book

The first page shows a puppy with a ball, then a puppy asleep on a round cushion, a long dachshund in profile and a corgi with tall pointed ears. Next come a chubby puppy hugging a bone and a puppy peeking out of a basket. The second half has a poodle with puffy pom-pom fur, a beagle-type puppy with coat patches beside an empty bowl, a puppy holding an umbrella, a puppy looking up at a big butterfly, a puppy sitting in an open gift box and a smiling puppy wearing a triangle bandana. Breeds are easy to tell apart by their ears and fur, which makes the book a nice way to talk about different kinds of dogs. The outlines are bold and the inside areas wide, so even toddlers can fill most shapes with a fat crayon.
