Parrot on a Branch Coloring Page

About this page

Tilted at a gentle angle, a parrot grips a short, bare branch with both feet and glances to the right with its beak open, as if chirping. The crest on its head sweeps back in a few simple points, the eye is big and glossy, and the cheek is outlined as a rounded patch. One wing lies folded against the body with three scalloped rows of feathers, and three long tail feathers hang below the branch. The branch has chunky cut ends and is the only prop in the picture. With a clean white background and wide, clear shapes, there are only a handful of areas to color, so it comes together fast. It is an easy page for kids, a good first bird picture, and it gives older children a quick sheet for trying out a new set of markers.
