Axolotl Reading a Book Coloring Page

About this page

Story time for an axolotl: it sits on a wide, flat stone and holds an open book with both hands. The book faces the reader, showing its two blank pages and the outline of the cover, and the axolotl peeks over the top with a small open-mouthed smile, as if it just read something funny. Rounded gills puff out on both sides of its head like little clouds. Its short legs rest on the stone in front, and the tail lifts up on the right behind the book. The stone is a soft oval with a few lines that hint at its shape. Because the book pages are blank, young artists can draw their own pictures or words inside them before coloring. The page has big, friendly shapes with steady outlines, a good fit for kids learning to stay inside the lines.
