About these anime coloring pages

Everything on this page is drawn in an anime look: large shining eyes, fine hair strands and clean, even lines, aimed mainly at teens. Four groups stand out. The cats are fluffy and slender, set in Japanese garden scenes with a paper lantern and maple leaves, a folding fan, a tea set, stepping stones and a stone lantern, a koi pond, a woven basket with a ball of yarn and a toy mouse, or roof tiles under a crescent moon. The human characters cover school and street life (a girl reading on a floor cushion, a boy with headphones in a park, a skateboarder, a basketball player, a schoolgirl with a backpack), plus chibi figures with big heads baking cupcakes, watering a sunflower, jumping a puddle and using a telescope. Fantasy roles appear too: a magical girl with a star wand, a mage with floating crystals, a warrior with a sword, an archer, a pilot with a little robot and an inventor fixing a model plane. Pairs and trios share an umbrella, lanterns, microphones and a map. Dogs and horses with long flowing fur and manes round it out, in meadows, by a stream, on a stone bridge and under a flower arch.

Coloring tips

  • Color anime hair in clumps: lay a base color, add a darker shade under each strand group, and leave a light band near the top for shine.
  • In anime eyes, make the iris darker at the top and lighter at the bottom, and keep the drawn highlight circles white.
  • Real horse coats make a good guide: bay (brown with a black mane and tail), chestnut, black, gray, or palomino (gold with a pale mane).
  • On the long-furred cats and dogs, follow the fur strokes and use two shades of the coat color so the fur looks layered.
  • Clothes on the school and street characters have fold lines; shade a little along each fold instead of coloring the jacket flat.

Questions about anime coloring pages

Are there characters from anime series on this page?

No. All the characters, cats, dogs and horses are original designs drawn in an anime style, so none of them belongs to a show or manga.

What is a chibi coloring page?

Chibi is a style with a big head, a small body and a very round face. The chibi pages here show kids baking, gardening, jumping a puddle and stargazing, with fewer fine lines than the full-size characters.

How do you color anime skin?

Start with a light, even base, then add a slightly deeper shade under the hair fringe, under the chin and along one side of the arms. A touch of light pink on the cheeks is a common anime finish.

Are these anime coloring pages free to print?

Yes. Every page is a free A4 or US Letter PDF. Guests can download 5 pages a day as PDF or PNG, and free accounts 20, with no watermark. The editable SVG file needs a free account.

How many anime coloring pages are there?

There are 48 reviewed pages in this collection (48 medium). New pages are added as they pass review.

Which difficulty should I choose?

Easy pages have large shapes for young children, medium pages add more detail, and detailed pages suit teens and adults. Library pages are free for personal, family, classroom and other non-commercial use. Reselling or redistributing the files is not allowed; see the License page for details.

Can I make my own page in this theme?

Yes. The AI coloring page generator turns a written idea into a private, printable page. A Standard page uses 1 credit.
